Strategy is at the core of each and every business and defines the overall direction of the business. It determines the relationship with both the internal and external environment. Successful businesses must embrace opportunities wherever they are but at the same time be prepared for the potential pitfalls. Similarities and differences across national boundaries in legislation, demographics, target audiences, technological advances, infrastructure etc. need to be thoroughly analysed and researched in order to utilize the opportunities and deal with the potential downfalls.
